007JL GCash Scam Report: What to Do, in Order

A GCash scam report is the record you file when someone tricked you into sending money, and the order of the steps matters because GCash sets clocks on some of them. This page follows GCash’s own help centre, read on 2 October 2026: who to tell first, where the report button is in the app, what happens after, and how the route changes when the charges were not yours at all. Nothing here promises a refund; GCash says outright that it does not.

Scam or unauthorized: which route you are on

GCash separates two situations, and each has its own button.

If you sent the money yourself because a person told you to, you are on the first route even when the person pretended to be a casino agent or a wallet employee. If the charge appeared without any action from you, use the second.

Steps for a GCash scam report

GCash’s help centre lists the actions in this order. Follow it as written.

1. Report the scammer to the authorities, the PNP or the NBI.
2. Open the GCash app and go to Transactions. Tap Load More in the history if the transfer is older.
3. Select the specific transaction, tap Get Help, then Report as scam.
4. Fill out the ticket form and tap Submit.
5. Block the scammer on SMS or social media.

By submitting you acknowledge a rule GCash prints on the page: filing completely unwarranted or false information, with malice or in bad faith, can bring criminal liability under Section 11, in relation to Section 16(e), of the Anti-Financial Account Scamming Act. Report what happened, in your own words, with the facts you have.

What happens after you report

GCash says its support team reviews the case and reaches out within 24 hours. It also says the return of scammed funds is not guaranteed. Keep the receipt, the chat history and any number or profile the scammer used, because the same items are what GCash’s Scam Protection claim list asks for: a police report or reference number, a statement of how you discovered the fraud, the receipt with its reference number and a copy of the messages that led to the transfer.

Scam Protection is a separate GCash insurance product with its own fee and conditions, run with a partner insurer. Its page says a claim needs a police report within 24 hours of discovery and notice to GCash within 24 hours. Read that page in the GCash app before you rely on it; this site does not enrol you in anything.

Reporting a GCash unauthorized transaction

When history shows a charge you did not make, the clock is shorter and the steps differ. GCash’s help centre gives these:

1. Check other platforms where GCash is linked, such as subscriptions on a store or streaming account.
2. Change your MPIN.
3. Update the GCash app to the latest version.
4. Log in, tap Get Help, tap “I noticed unauthorized transactions in my GCash account” and tap Chat with Gigi.
5. Report within 15 days of the transaction date.

GCash says the investigation may take between 48 hours and 7 days depending on the case, with updates by e-mail or under Help, then My Support Tickets. For a case that cannot wait, the Contact Us page lists a hotline with 24/7 support for scams, fraud, lost or stolen phones and unauthorized transactions: 2882 toll-free for Globe and TM subscribers, (02) 7213-9999 for Globe landlines. If the scam involved a casino deposit

Scammers target deposit moments because a player is already sending money. The 007JL terms call the web-based Customer Service chat in the lobby the only genuine channel, so a message on a messaging app, an SMS or a call that claims to be 007JL support is not one. The lobby help centre also says the receiving account on the deposit screen changes, so open that screen fresh each time rather than paying an account someone sent you.

1. Stop sending money to anyone who contacted you first.
2. Never give an OTP or MPIN; GCash says never to share either.
3. Report through the steps above, then tell the Customer Service chat in the side menu what happened.

Limits, tiers and the damage a scam can do

How much a wallet can hold and send in a day decides how large a loss can be. GCash’s own ladder runs from PHP 10,000 at Basic up to PHP 1,000,000 at Platinum, and the figures belong to GCash, per its limits page saved in this site’s data.
